Brayonna’s Story

“I feel like I mean something”

Brayonna makes jewelry out of colorful rubber bands on a loom. She also enjoys getting out in nature for walks, and seeing all of the souveniers in the gift shop is one of the highlights after a hike.

Sitting in the gift shop, Brayonna told her Resilience Worker, “I want to make bracelets and sell them here.” This may seem small, but being able to voice her interests and ideas, and offer to share her gifts is a big step along her healing journey.

When asked about what it is like for her to get to know new people in community Brayonna said, “I feel like I mean something.”
